Ultra-wideband Antennas

Utilizing the ultra-wideband balun, numerous types of ultra-wideband antennas have been developed, and are being developed. With conventional wideband antennas, baluns usually affect the overall operating frequency bandwidth of the antennas. However, by utilizing our ultra-wideband balun due to its ultra-wide bandwidth, the overall antenna bandwidth is determined by the antenna element itself, not by the balun.

Examples of implemented ultra-wideband antennas are bow-tie antennas, quasi-Yagi antennas, slot antennas, and self-complimentary antennas. Several design examples of ultra-wideband antennas are presented at 2007 APS International Conference in Hawaii.
